Minova background

Geomek's collaboration with Minova began in 1999. Today, Minova is one of our three main suppliers in the foundation industry, alongside Klemm and Mitsubishi. This partnership has been successful due to the consistently high quality of Minova's products, a close and fruitful collaboration to ensure timely deliveries, and the use of drill bits from Mitsubishi.

The Minova factory is located in Arnall, Poland, and Minova has been manufacturing SDA anchors for over 40 years. They are now a leading manufacturer of self-drilling anchors, producing everything from standard black steel to galvanized and epoxy-coated anchors designed for permanent constructions. Minova's anchors received European Technical Approval in 2013, and since 2019, the anchors have also been approved for a 120-year lifespan according to "expert opinions." Additionally, since 2021, an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) has been available. Each batch produced by the factory is tensile-tested to failure, and upon request, we can provide a test report for your specific delivery. All Minova products are approved according to the Building Materials Assessment (Byggvarubedömningen).

When Geomek first started selling MAI anchors, the system as a whole was well-functioning. However, it quickly became apparent that Minova's drill bits, designed for Central European conditions, did not always perform optimally in Scandinavian rock. We tackled the issue by having Mitsubishi develop a button bit specifically for the MAI anchors. The drill bit that Mitsubishi developed became a resounding success and is the reason why the MAI anchor system is the preferred choice when drilling under the toughest conditions.
